Paras, Hussein, Pankaj, Aditya enter quarterfinals

91st National Billiards and Snooker Championship

Indore: In the 91st National 15-Red Snooker Championship, being held at the Yashwant Club’s Smash Hall, Paras Gupta, Mohammad Hussein Khan, 28-time world champion Pankaj Advani, and Aditya Mehta have entered the quarterfinals.

In the pre-quarterfinal matches, UP’s Paras Gupta defeated PSPB’s Saurav Kothari 5-1 to secure his place in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, PSPB’s Dhvaj Haria defeated Chandigarh’s Ranveer Duggal 5-1.

In a thrilling match, Railway’s Mohammad Hussein Khan defeated PSPB’s S. Shrikrishna 5-4. Both players displayed exceptional skills, but Hussein emerged victorious.

Delhi’s Sundcep Gulati defeated Railway’s E. Panduranga 5-3 to keep his quarterfinal hopes alive. Veteran player PSPB’s Aditya Mehta defeated J&K’s Mudassir Ashiq 5-1.

PSPB’s Brijesh Damani defeated Karnataka’s S. Davis 5-2, while PSPB’s 28-time world champion Pankaj Advani defeated Mizoram’s Lalrina R.K. 5-1.

A marathon match between two Railway players, Malkit Singh and Kamal Chawla, lasted six hours. The match, which began at 11 am, concluded at 5 pm, with Malkit Singh winning 5-4 and advancing to the quarterfinals.
