Raipur (Team Newsbuddy). The third day of the Legend 90 League being played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur went in the name of Delhi Royals. Delhi scored 195 runs in the stipulated 15 overs, setting the highest score of the league so far, although the Rajasthan team tried hard to achieve this target, but they could not do anything in front of Delhi’s bowling and the team lost the match by 41 runs.
In this match which started at 12 o’clock in the morning, Rajasthan Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first, which was probably not right in terms of the pitch. Delhi Royals, who came out to bat, looked in a different style from the beginning today. Delhi captain Shikhar Dhawan was also seen catching the rhythm today, although his innings was not very long, but by scoring 26 runs with 5 fours, he gave a strong start to the team, but today was the day of opener Lendl Simmons who came to support him. Simmons broke the back of Rajasthani bowling by scoring 87 runs with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes in 39 balls. After which Angelo Perera scored a quick 54 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours in 24 balls and took the team to a huge score of 195 runs.
Rajasthan Kings opener Phil Mustard, who came to chase the target, was dismissed by Parwinder Awana in the very first over, after which Gaurav Tomar (34), Rajesh Vishnoi (31), Rajat Singh (48) and Manpreet Goni (27) tried, but that was not enough and the team fell behind by 41 runs. Lendl Simmons was awarded the Man of the Match award for his brilliant batting.
