Road tragedy in Indore: Unknown container hits bike riders, One dead, another critical

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): A horrific road accident occurred on late Saturday evening near Apollo DB City Road in the Nipania area of Indore, in front of Ajibai Sweets on Tulsi Nagar -Apollo DB City. An unidentified container vehicle collided with a bike (vehicle number: MP04 VF8569) coming from Nipania, leaving two young men on the bike severely injured.
Immediately after the accident, local residents Rakesh Jaiswal and Hariom Rathore from Tulsi Nagar, along with Deepesh Gupta and Arun Trivedi from Saikripa Colony, showed commendable humanity by rushing the injured to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. Despite medical efforts, one of the youths succumbed to his injuries, while the other, who remains unconscious, is undergoing treatment. As of the time of reporting, the identities of the deceased and the injured could not be confirmed.
Senior journalist K.K. Jha attempted to inform the Lasudia Police Station and the police control room but found the phone lines consistently busy. He later reported the incident via Indore Police’s WhatsApp number. However, no police personnel had arrived at the hospital to gather information by 7:45 PM.
The incident has sparked outrage among locals and raised concerns about road safety. The Ward 36-37 Residents’ Federation and Tulsi Nagar Residents’ Association praised the swift assistance provided by Rakesh Jaiswal, Hariom Rathore, Deepesh Gupta, and Arun Trivedi. They also demanded that the municipal corporation and district administration take concrete steps to enhance road safety in the Nipania area.
This accident has once again highlighted the lack of road safety measures and delayed police response in the city. The administration must strengthen traffic management and road safety protocols to prevent such tragedies in the future.
