Dispute over Vikram Award issue…
Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Everest climber Madhusudan Patidar, who came to make a disclosure about the Vikram Award, could not answer the questions of the media. Seeing being surrounded by the media, he started demanding a change in the rules. It is worth noting that despite filing a petition in the court, Madhusudan reached the media to accuse the government and the sports department by holding a press conference. On his petition, the court has refused to give the award to Bhavna till the next hearing.
2017 Everest climber Patidar reached Indore Press Club in front of the media to hold a press conference with his lawyers in Indore. Accusing the Sports Department, he said that the department deliberately did not give the Vikram Award to the players of adventure sports in 2022, due to which his award was taken away.
He further alleged that in 2023 he was excluded by saying that he has become ineligible to apply for the award within 5 years and hence he cannot be selected for the award.
When he was asked how injustice was done to him in 2022, he said that the Sports Department did not issue any kind of notification or advertisement for adventure sports. On this, a journalist present there showed him a copy of the notification issued by the Sports Department in 2022 and said that you are lying, then Madhusudan could not give any answer.
Similarly, when asked about the 5-year rule, Madhusudan gave evasive answers and said that this rule does not apply to him, on which when he was asked under which rule this rule does not apply to him, he could not give any answer.
When his claim of the 2022 notification was exposed, he started saying why the department did not release this notification online or on the website. When the department was asked about this, the department said that the entire process from filling the form to the application was online, so how can anyone say that no information was given by the department about the Vikram Award of 2022 or any year online.
The official said that the 2022 notification was published in many national level newspapers. “It was clearly written in the same notification that all the information related to the award is also available on the department’s website,” said an official on the condition of anonymity.
In the end, Madhusudan started pleading for seniority and said that the government should have personally called him and informed him about the award. It is worth noting that the central government invites applications for the Arjuna Award, not the player is called for the award by calling him personally.
