This modern plant will have world-class facilities for design, manufacturing, assembly and testing of rail and metro coaches like Vande Bharat as well as defense products.

The motto of ‘adopt swadeshi’, Shivraj Singh’s call

In the program, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan gave the motto of “adopt swadeshi” to a large number of people present. He said, “Whatever goods we bring home – food, clothes, oil, shampoo, cosmetics – now if we buy any goods, we will buy only those made in our country. If the country of 144 crore Indians starts adopting swadeshi, then our economy will become stronger. This is living for the country.” With this, Shri Chouhan reiterated the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for Aatmanirbhar Bharat that India has to be made the third largest economy and for this everyone will have to adopt Swadeshi. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Everyone lives for themselves, but the one who lives for the country is the true citizen. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India strongly puts forward its point in the world and now is the time for all of us to adopt Swadeshi together.”

Farmers’ interests are paramount, no compromise – Shivraj Singh

Shivraj Singh especially assured the farmers that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, there will be no such international agreement in which the interests of farmers are compromised. He said, “The Prime Minister has said that even if a personal price has to be paid, the interests of farmers, fishermen, cattle rearers will be protected. Agreements with big countries will also be in the interest of the country.”

Regional development and new employment opportunities

Shivraj Singh, while mentioning the development of the industrial area of Umaria and the surrounding areas, expressed pride that 752 units are operating in the Mandideep industrial area and exports worth about Rs 20 thousand crores take place. Now after the establishment of this rail manufacturing hub, the economic pace of the region will accelerate. He said that more than 5 thousand employment opportunities will be available to the local youth, as well as the MSME sector will also get a boost. Shivraj Singh got emotional and said, “I have done padyatra and cycle yatra in this area since childhood. The people here have given a lot of love to the Bharatiya Janata Party. With the gift received today, the area will grow by leaps and bounds.” Shivraj Singh believes that this Bhoomi Pujan is not just the beginning of an industrial project, but is a confluence of national interest, indigenous development and youth empowerment.
