3 die as under construction wall falls, child injured

Three people died after being buried under the debris of the wall, while a child was injured. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the area.

According to Rajendra Nagar police, the accident took place around 12:30 pm on Monday. The under-construction wall of the water tank had weakened due to rain and suddenly collapsed. Four people present there at that time were hit by the wall. Three died on the spot and a child was injured. The injured child was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Deceased identified

The police said that the deceased have been identified as Gautam, Titu and Rameshwar. All three bodies have been sent to the district hospital for postmortem. The police have started investigating the case and are also trying to find out why there were no safety arrangements at the construction site at the time of the accident.
