Oriental University Indore begins 5-day Deeksharambh student induction programme

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : Oriental University, Indore inaugurated its 5-day Deeksharambh – Student Induction Programme on with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation from the newly admitted students.
The event commenced with a dynamic and motivational welcome address by renowned psychologist and mentor Dr. Sandeep Atre, who inspired students with his words of wisdom. He highlighted the importance of psychological well-being, career planning, and handling pressure effectively while also guiding students on skill-building and placement preparedness. His session left students motivated to pursue their academic and personal goals with confidence.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chancellor Praveen Thakral, Pro Chancellors Gaurav Thakral and Prof. (Dr.) Dhruva Ghai, Dean Academics Dr. Garima Ghai, Director (Law) Sonia Thakral, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Amol Gore. Dignitary addressed the students, offering valuable insights into the university’s academic culture, liberal pedagogy, and vibrant campus life.
All Deans of different faculties, Heads of Departments, and faculty members were present during the programme. During the ice-breaker activities and campus tour, students explored and observed the various facilities available at the University. In the University presentation, Registrar Dr. Pradyumna Yadav explained in detail all the necessary information required for the students’ entire tenure and introduced them to the various departments and their functioning.
With a legacy of academic excellence under the Oriental Group of Institutes, the university offers a wide spectrum of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Recently, Oriental University has been ranked 68th among Top General (Private) Universities in India and 6th in MP (2025- India Today), a testimony to its quality education, innovative pedagogy, and industry-focused learning.
The programme was designed to familiarize students with the values and ethos of Oriental University. The dignitaries encouraged students to embrace innovation, develop industry-relevant skills, and uphold the university’s culture of excellence.
The inaugural day also featured an engaging campus tour and departmental activities, giving students the opportunity to explore their new academic environment. The interaction fostered a sense of belonging among the fresher’s while highlighting the university’s commitment to holistic development.
