Indore shines again; tops national clean air survey

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Already celebrated as India’s cleanest city, Indore has struck gold once again! The city has now soared to new heights by topping the National Clean Air Survey with a flawless 200 out of 200 points. Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav was honored with a shining golden award by Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav at a grand ceremony in Delhi’s Paryavaran Bhawan.
Organized by the Ministry of Environment, the Clean Air Survey tested over 100 cities on air quality, pollution control, and green efforts. Indore shone brightly with smart moves like encouraging electric vehicles, cutting factory pollution, planting trees through the ‘Harit Indore’ campaign, and keeping waste in check. This makes Indore not just clean but a breath of fresh air for everyone!
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, beaming with pride, said, “Indore is a star in cleanliness and now in clean air too! This is the result of our team’s hard work, our officials’ support, and every citizen’s effort. We dream of keeping Indore green and healthy forever.” He credited the tree-planting drives as a key to this success.
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav lauded Indore’s achievement, saying, “Indore has shown the world how to fight air pollution. Other cities should follow its lead!” He pointed out that Indore’s perfect score raises the bar for everyone.
Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) officials shared that the city keeps its Air Quality Index (AQI) in check with simple yet effective steps—banning diesel vehicles, controlling dust at building sites, and boosting public transport. The award ceremony, held on Tuesday, was attended by leaders, experts, and officials from across states, making it a proud moment for Indore.
