Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the two-day 19th international conference on `Changing Business Paradigms: Trends in Innovation, Governance, and Sustainability’ organized by the Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Sheikh Mansoor emphasized the pivotal role of talent in national development, noting the significant evolution in global economies over the past two decades.
He highlighted the imminent rise of a people-centric economy and lauded India’s trajectory towards prosperity.
Expressing optimism about India’s future, Sheikh Mansoor praised the country’s abundant talent pool and its potential to emerge as a global leader. However, he underscored the imperative for concerted efforts towards sustainability. Sheikh Mansoor expressed his eagerness to foster meaningful partnerships with the Prestige Group of Industries and Institutions, marking the beginning of what promises to be a fruitful collaboration.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to innovation, technology, and sustainability, Sheikh Mansoor was honored with the prestigious PIMR Business Excellence Award.
BS Nagesh, founder of TRRAIN and chairman of Shopper’s Stop Limited, emphasized the intrinsic connection between innovation, governance, and sustainability, asserting that these principles originate within organizations and extend to the broader community. He emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of inclusivity and purpose, where every individual’s voice is valued. Nagesh’s enduring commitment to these ideals earned him the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation and Chancellor of Prestige University, delved into the transformative power of innovation in driving economic prosperity and societal well-being. He stressed the need for fostering a conducive environment for innovation and forging robust partnerships to maximize value for all stakeholders.
India’s Global Leadership and Geopolitical Dynamics
Siddharth Rajhans, Principal Policy Advisor at the United Nations, provided valuable insights into India’s evolving role on the world stage, particularly within the G20 framework. He underscored India’s thought leadership, technological advancements, and contributions to global peace and development. Rajhans encouraged students to embrace the ‘Indian Dream’ and outlined India’s significant contributions to space diplomacy and technological innovation.
Siddharth Adhikari, Circle Head of Punjab National Bank, highlighted India’s remarkable transformation over the past few decades, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach integrating innovation, governance, and sustainability for a prosperous future. Vice chairman, Prestige Education Foundation also shed light on changing business paradigms.
Collaborations and Unveilings
The conference witnessed the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between Sheikh Mansoor Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Dr. Davish Jain, facilitating business and academic collaborations between MBK Holdings and the Prestige Group of Industries and Institutions. Additionally, Dr. Davish Jain unveiled his latest book, ‘Golden Insights: Enterprising Life’, offering invaluable perspectives on entrepreneurship and leadership.
Earlier, the conference chair, Dr. Raja Roy Choudhury, while welcoming the guests, shed light on the importance of achieving the trifecta of innovation, governance, and sustainability.
