Badminton Association of India General Secretary Sanjay Mishra said that for the first time a prize money of Rs 18 lakh was also given in the Masters’ National Competition, matches were held in the age groups of +35 to +75, this was the last national competition of badminton of the year 2023-24,

Sixth National Para Badminton Championship held in Jamshedpur
The Sixth National Para Badminton Championship was held in Tatanagar Jamshedpur from 20 to 23 March. Players of Gaurav Khanna Excellence Badminton Academy, Lucknow won the maximum 38 medals. Dronacharya Award winner Chief Para Badminton Coach Gaurav Khanna told that the players of his academy won 11 gold, 12 silver and 15 bronze medals. Nitesh Kumar, Chirag Baretha, Palak Kohli, Prem Kumar Ale, Tarun Dhillon, Rutvik Raghupati, Shivarajan, Mandeep Kaur, Tulsimati Murugesan, Nitya Shri Sivan, Alpha James, Abu Hubaida won gold medals. Players of Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow won 23 medals including 3 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze. The fifth Para Badminton Championship was hosted by this university in Lucknow last year, then they won only five bronze medals.
