Bhopal (Team Newsbuddy): Meera Yadav’s husband and former MLA Deepnarayan Yadav said, ‘Our form has been cancelled. Two deficiencies were pointed out- first.. the certified copy of the voter list seems to be old. Second.. instead of signing at two places, there is signature at only one place.’ He told that we had applied for a certified copy on 2 April which was not received even on 3 April. In this situation, we used the certified copy which was available. If that copy looked bad then you should have told us. We would have provided the copy again. If you had told us about the deficiency yesterday then we could have completed it. Now we will go to the High Court, Supreme Court and Election Commission. SP cancels Manoj Yadav’s ticket and Meera Yadav’s Nomination form of Samajwadi Party candidate from Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat. Meera Deepnarayan Yadav has been rejected. Panna district election officer Suresh Kumar Mishra took this decision due to not signing the form at the designated place and using old list. SP candidate Meera Yadav is preparing to go to High court against the cancellation of nomination. Meanwhile, Congress has complained to the Election Commission of India, Delhi in this matter. Congress’s Election Commission work in-charge JP Dhanopia has alleged that the Returning Officer has deliberately cancelled the nomination form of the SP candidate under the pressure of the BJP candidate. Meera Deepnarayan Yadav and her supporters reached Panna collectorate.
The Returning Officer gave these reasons for the rejection. Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency’s Returning Officer and Panna Collector Suresh Kumar called the media persons to the meeting hall.
He gave two reasons for the rejection of the nomination form of the SP candidate. He said, ‘SP candidate Meera Yadav had not attached the verified voter list in her nomination form. Also, signatures were missing at two places in the form.’ .
Know who is Meera Yadav, whom SP has made a candidate. Meera Yadav became MLA from Niwari assembly seat in 2008 on SP ticket. She lost the assembly elections from this seat three times in a row in 2013, 2018 and 2023. Husband Deepnarayan Yadav has been MLA twice from Garautha seat of UP.
