1 min readBhopal (Team Newsbuddy). After resigning from the primary membership of Congress, former MLA of Surkhi, Parul Sahu Kesari joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bhopal . She reached the BJP state headquarters on Friday morning, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan gave her party membership. She had resigned from the Congress on Wednesday. After this, she reached Bhopal and met former minister and convener of BJP’s New Joining Committee Dr. Narottam Mishra. Earlier on Tuesday, she also met Cabinet Minister Govind Singh Rajput and BJP District President Gaurav Sirothia in Sagar. Chhindwara Congress leader and Deepak Saxena’s cousin, District Panchayat Vice President Amit Saxena also joined the BJP. It is worth noting that in the year 2013, Parul became an MLA by contesting on a BJP ticket, but in the 2018 assembly elections, the party cut her ticket. After this, after the political upheaval in the state in 2020, when Govind Singh Rajput left the Congress and joined the BJP and the party made him its candidate in the by-election held on the Surkhi seat, Parul got angry and left the BJP and contested the election as a Congress candidate. However, she had to face defeat then. On Wednesday, Parul resigned from the primary membership of the party by writing a one-line resignation to Congress state president Jitu Patwari. With her resignation, there were speculations about her joining the BJP.
