Mahendra Singh Dhoni became only player to take 150 catches in history of IPL

Dharamshala (Team Newsbuddy): The 53rd match of IPL 2024 was played between the teams of Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, in which the Chennai Super Kings team batted first in the match and scored 167 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. When the Punjab team came out to chase this target, their start was not good at all, in which they lost 2 wickets at the score of 9. With the third blow at the score of 62, the Punjab team did not get a chance to come back in this match. The Punjab team was able to reach only a score of 139 in this match. While Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets in bowling for Chennai Super Kings, Tushar Deshpande and Simarjit Singh took 2-2 wickets each. Chennai team won this match by 28 runs.

In the same match, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has made a big record with his fielding. Mahendra Singh Dhoni came out to bat at number 9 in the match against Punjab Kings. But he got a golden duck on the ball of Harshal Patel. Then while fielding, he caught the catch of Jitesh Sharma on the ball of Simarjit Singh. With this, Dhoni has become the only player to take 150 catches in the history of IPL. Before him, no player was able to take 150 catches in IPL. Dhoni has taken 146 catches as a wicketkeeper and four catches as a fielder in IPL. Dinesh Karthik is second in this list. He has taken 144 catches, out of which he has taken 136 catches as a wicketkeeper and 8 catches as a fielder.
