MP Congress Chief foresees double-digit Lok Sabha wins in state
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): Madhya Pradesh Congress State Chief, Jitu Patwari, expressed confidence on Wednesday, predicting that the party would secure Lok Sabha seats in double digits in the upcoming elections. With polling for all 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state completed between April 19 and May 13, the stage is set for vote counting on June 4.
Reflecting on the unity displayed by party leaders during the Lok Sabha polls following the Congress’ setback in the assembly elections, Patwari anticipated surprising results. He stated, “I believe we will win seats in double digits. Don’t be surprised if it happens.”
Accusing the BJP of propagating falsehoods, Patwari alleged that the ruling party orchestrated a campaign aimed at “ensuring 375 additional votes in every polling booth of the state,” a claim he countered with data showing lesser polling figures in almost half of these booths.
In a sharp critique, Patwari likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurances to “Chinese goods,” insinuating a lack of reliability.
Turning his attention to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Patwari criticized the administration’s handling of the state’s security, citing a surge in crime rates. “Yadav should relinquish the home ministry as he has failed to manage it effectively,” he remarked, pointing out that Madhya Pradesh had witnessed a concerning spike in major crimes, particularly in Ujjain, the CM’s hometown.
Patwari also outlined plans to fortify the party’s organizational structure in the state, acknowledging areas for improvement and pledging concerted efforts towards addressing these deficiencies.
