Cobra commandos kill 4 Naxalites, avenges death of their comrade

Ranchi (Team Newsbuddy): The special unit ‘Cobra’ of the country’s largest central paramilitary force ‘CRPF’, whose commandos are experts in ‘jungle warfare’, has avenged the death of its comrade after 9 months. Four Naxalites were killed in an encounter between Cobra and Naxalites in Lipunga forest of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Monday. There was a reward of Rs 25 lakh on these Naxalites.
These Naxalites had treacherously killed a CRPF Cobra jawan in an ‘ambush’ 9 months ago. Cobra commandos were looking for these Naxalites for a long time. In this encounter, the security forces have also arrested two hardcore Naxalites.
This encounter took place between Cobra and Naxalites in the dense forest of Gua police station area of West Singhbhum district. The Naxalites killed include Sub Zonal Committee member Kande Honhaga alias Dirshum, Area Committee member Singrai alias Manoj, LGSM Surya alias Munda Devgam and female Naxalite Jonga Turki. Two SLRs, one INSAS and two 303 rifles have been recovered from the possession of the Naxalites. The two arrested Naxalites include Tiger alias Pandu Hansda and Batari Devgam. According to sources, Cobra has avenged its martyred comrade. It is said about Cobra Commandos that they risk their lives for their comrades. That ‘passion and courage’ of Cobra was seen in this encounter. The Naxalites killed by 209 Cobra Battalion were the same Naxalites who had treacherously killed Cobra Commando Rajesh in an ambush about 9 months ago.
