Prestige Institute hosts Tech-HR meet in Hyderabad to foster academia, Industry collaboration

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : The Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research (PIEMR) organized the Tech HR Meet 2024 in Hyderabad to enhance collaboration between academia and industry. The event brought together HR and technology professionals from companies such as Deloitte, Honeywell, Schneider, JP Morgan Chase, TCS, Avantel, Veritas Prime, Berkadia, and Rockwell, representing sectors such as ITES, Telecom, Automation, and core technologies. Ketan Jain, Director of the Prestige Education Foundation, expressed delight at hosting top HR professionals and business leaders in Hyderabad. He highlighted that this was the first time PIEMR had organized a Tech-HR Meet outside Indore, aiming to provide greater industry exposure to faculty and students, expand the institute’s reach, and improve career opportunities for students.
Jain said the event provided students with opportunities to secure high-paying jobs in product development and design, emphasizing core engineering branches such as electronics, automation, and mechanical engineering. PIEMR aims to attract leading technology companies to Indore, contributing to Madhya Pradesh’s goal of achieving a USD 1 trillion economy. Dr. Ajai Chowdhry, Padma Bhushan awardee and HCL co-founder, highlighted India’s progress trends and future HR needs. He emphasized the importance of developing software and hardware products in India, in addition to providing services. Dr. Chowdhry noted India’s potential in AI, quantum computing, semiconductor chip design and packaging, and EV component manufacturing. Dr. Brahmankar, National Innovation Director, stressed the importance of fostering creativity and problem-solving skills among students. He urged industries to recruit students by conducting hackathons and offering innovative projects. Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande mentioned that the Tech-HR meet concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Corporate Expectations from Academia.” Senior HR and tech industry professionals shared their insights in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Atul Negi, Dean of the University of Hyderabad. Dr. Davish Jain and Dipin Jain, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation, expressed that the Tech HR Meet is a testament to PIEMR’s commitment to providing its students with a holistic educational experience aligned with the ever-changing needs of the tech industry. They added that it would pave the way for future collaborations between the institute and leading technology companies.
