Swapnil Kusale said after winning bronze in Olympics
1 min readParis (Team Newsbuddy): After winning the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics, Swapnil Kusale told the media over the phone that the heartbeat of all the players increases before the event. I just controlled my breathing and kept myself calm and focused on my shoot.
Swapnil Kusale has won the bronze medal in the 50m rifle three position shooting event at the Paris Olympics. With this, India now has three medals in its account.
Kusale is the first Indian to reach the final of the 50m rifle shooting event.
While talking to reporters after the victory, Swapnil said, “I was not even paying attention to the score board. My focus was only on myself and shooting. I just wanted to see all the Indians present there happy.” About his journey to the Olympics, Swapnil said that I have learned from my past mistakes and experiences and that is why I came here. I also want to thank my coach Deepali Mam. She has supported me a lot emotionally.
In response to the question whether Swapnil does any special preparation before the match, Swapnil said, “Before the match, I pray to God and also read some mantras.” 28-year-old Swapnil is a resident of Radhanagari in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He took shooting training from the Sports Academy of Nashik and is currently employed in the Railways in Pune. Swapnil was earlier part of the team that won the gold medal in the team event of the 2022 Asian Games.
