New Delhi(Team Newsbuddy): The Indian team has suffered a major setback in the Olympics. India lost a gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. Female wrestler athlete Vinesh Phogat, who had made it to the gold medal match of the 50 kg freestyle wrestling event, has been disqualified from the final match due to being overweight. Vinesh was to play her gold medal match against the USA wrestler at 12:45 late tonight but now she is out of this entire match in which she will not even get a silver medal.
After Vinesh Phogat’s exit, a statement has been issued by the Indian Olympic Association in which they said that it is very disappointing news that Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was to play the gold medal match in the 50 kg freestyle category, has been disqualified before this match due to being overweight.
