Lalit Kaushal wins silver medal for MP in national wrestling event

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Vikram Awardee Omprakash Khatri of Indore Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association said that all the freestyle category matches were held in the national wrestling today amidst very tough competitions. Lalit Kaushal won the silver medal in the 61 kg category by giving a brilliant performance from Madhya Pradesh. Lalit defeated Bengal 10-0, defeated Jharkhand 8-4, defeated Rajasthan 10-4, defeated the wrestler from UP 12-4 in the semi-finals and won the silver medal by losing to Delhi in the final moments by a score of 5-3. This is the only medal in freestyle today. Lalit also got a head injury during the wrestling. Four other wrestlers from MP missed winning the bronze medal by a small margin in the last moments. Olympian Pappu Yadav, Vikram Awardee Omprakash Khatri, Suresh Yadav, Govind Gurjar, Vikas Yadav congratulated the wrestlers on their good performance. Olympian Pappu Yadav said Lalit was troubled by the injury, otherwise he would have won the gold medal. There is a wave of happiness in the wrestling arenas and centers of MP due to the good performance of MP wrestlers in the national wrestling.
