Indore’s Gunvi selected in Indian team
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): Indore’s Gunvi Agarwal has been selected in the Indian women’s basketball team. She will challenge with the Indian team in the Junior World Cup held in Hungary.
All India Basketball Association General Secretary Kulwinder Singh Gill said that Gunvi has been selected in the Indian 3×3 Under-18 Women’s Basketball Team. This team will participate in the Basketball World Championship. Gunvi is the only player from the state selected in the Indian team. The World Championship will be held in Hungary from 26 to 30 August.
MP Basketball Association President Kulwinder Singh Gill and Secretary Avinash Anand said that the Indian team’s camp was organized in Indore for the preparation of the competition. During this time, the players tested their combination and improved themselves technically. Gunvi impressed with her performance during the camp. It is worth mentioning that Gunvi has brought laurels to the state with her performance on many occasions before this as well.
MP Basketball Association chairman and state cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya along with state organization officials congratulated Gunvi on her selection. Apart from Gunvi, the team includes Ahana George from Gujarat, Gunjan Mantri and Anya Bhavsar from Maharashtra. The coach will be Bhaskar S. from Tamil Nadu. Dr. Umakant Singh from Madhya Pradesh will be the assistant coach.
