Indore-Manmad Rail Line: A transformational milestone for MP’s development

Indore: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hailed the recent approval of the Indore-Manmad rail line as a historic moment for Madhya Pradesh, marking it as one of the happiest days since India’s independence. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Dr. Yadav announced the formation of a task force to ensure seamless coordination between the State Government and the Ministry of Railways for the swift execution of this ambitious project.The Union Government’s nod for the rail line, estimated at Rs. 18,000 crore, has been described as a “massive gift” to Madhya Pradesh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, and the entire Modi Cabinet. The Chief Minister emphasized that the new rail corridor, which will serve both passenger and freight purposes, is set to accelerate the state’s development, particularly benefiting the tribal regions.Highlighting the project’s significance, Dr. Yadav said it would establish a crucial freight corridor connecting Nepal, Agra, Gwalior, Indore, and Mumbai, thereby boosting the state’s industrial growth and enhancing connectivity. “This project will foster development across various sectors, from industry to tourism, and will connect four Jyotirlingas, making it a landmark initiative,” Dr. Yadav stated.
