India to stay focus during Women’s World Cup 2024 T20 : Harmanpreet Kaur
2 min readNew Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur held a press conference before the start of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. She said that the Indian team is fully capable of winning the Women’s T20 World Cup.
The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is to start from October 3 and the Indian women’s team led by Harmanpreet Kaur will play their first match against New Zealand on October 4.
In fact, a total of 10 teams are participating in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which have been divided into two groups of five each. The Indian team has got a place in Group A along with Pakistan. Apart from them, this group includes teams from Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The Indian team made it to the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, but then it had to face defeat from Australia. Now before the start of the Women’s T20 World Cup, Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur roared to win the title.
Harmanpreet Kaur said that we can beat Australia any day and at any time. She said that the Australian team is good, there is no doubt about it. They also know that India is one of the teams that can hit them very hard.
Harmanpreet Kaur further said that our team’s dream is to win this prestigious trophy and I believe that we have the ability to do so. We reached the final of the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia and came very close to making it to the final in the 2023 edition in South Africa. This shows that the team has the ability to succeed on the biggest stage.
