Bhopal’s Kushwaha is 9th Six Red Snooker State Champion for fifth time

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): In prestigious 9th Six Red MP State Ranking Snooker Championship 2024 played at the Billiards Academy located at Nehru Stadium under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards – Snooker Association, Piyush Kushwaha of Bhopal won the title by defeating Priyank Jaiswal of his own city 4-2 (frames 49-17, 41-3, 58-18, 12-54, 0-40, 33-32) in a very interesting match. Piyush won the first three frames and it seemed that he would easily win the title as well. But in the fourth and fifth place, Priyank made a comeback and surprised the audience present. In the sixth frame, an interesting battle was seen between both the Bhopali players, there was a struggle for every point, finally Piyush kept his patience and won and he achieved the pride of being the state champion for the second time in a row and fifth time in total.
The third position was secured by Bharat Sisodia of Bhopal by defeating Hrithik Jain of Indore by 4-2. In the semi-finals, Piyush defeated Hrithik Jain by 4-2 and Priyank defeated Bharat Sisodia by 4-2.
The prize distribution was done by the General Secretary of the Indian Billiards-Snooker Association, Sunil Bajaj and the Vice President of the Indian Billiards-Snooker Association, Ashwini Puranik. The winner player Piyush was given an attractive trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 15 thousand. The runner-up Priyank was given Rs. 10 thousand and Bharat and Hrithik, who played the semi-finals, were given Rs. 5 thousand each. The tournament director was Sujit Gehlot. The programme was conducted by Anant Tiwari and the vote of thanks was given by Pankaj Nandanwar
