PIMR hosts BIDDWHIZZ 2.0; Students showcase financial acumen through simulation
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): The Prestige Finance Club, FinX, of the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) held its much-anticipated intra-collegiate competition, BIDDWHIZZ 2.0, where students demonstrated their financial prowess through a dynamic simulation-based bidding event. This competition allowed participants to apply their classroom knowledge of investment strategies in a competitive environment, enhancing their decision-making and critical thinking skills.
The event began with a briefing session outlining the rules and objectives of the competition. Each team was provided with a virtual budget, and the challenge was to make the best investment decisions by strategically bidding for assets while outsmarting competitors. The simulation aimed to mirror real-world investment scenarios, pushing participants to think independently and develop practical financial strategies.
Disha Gupta and Riya Nikhar were declared winners. In contrast, Mariya Ziya and Arinjay Jain were declared the first runners-up, and Rudraksh Gupta and Siddhi Jain were declared the second runners-up, respectively.
Deepesh Goyal and Aujesvita Mishra served as the event coordinators, while Khushal, Rudransh, and Mehak took on the role of hosts, ensuring the competition ran smoothly.
During the closing ceremony, (Col.) Dr. S. Raman Iyer highlighted the practical applications of the competition, emphasizing its relevance in real-world financial scenarios and encouraging students to think beyond theoretical knowledge. He underscored how events like BIDDWHIZZ prepare future professionals to navigate complex financial environments.
The event was judged by renowned stock trader Yogita Abhichandani, and organized under the guidance of Dr. Samir Dubey and CS Priyanka Mathur.
