PIMR hosts district-level Table Tennis Championship; ISBA College emerges winner
2 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): The Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) hosted a successful two-day district-level men’s table tennis championship. The event, organized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, concluded with ISBA College emerging as the winner by defeating IPS Academy, which secured the runner-up position. A total of 17 teams from the Indore district, including prominent institutions like IPS Academy, SICA College, ISBA College, and UTD, participated in the tournament held at PIMR. The championship was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Sudhira Chandel, Director of Physical Education at DAVV; Dr. Ajay Sahani from UTD, Indore; Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra; Dr. Rafiq Khan, Observer from DAVV; Dr. S.S. Bhakar, Group Director; Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director (UG) at PIMR; and Sunil Kumar Biltharia, Sports Officer at PIMR Indore. Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman of Prestige Education Foundation, congratulated the PIMR directors and faculty for their exceptional efforts in organizing the championship with the utmost professionalism, making it a grand success. The tournament featured intense matches, culminating in the quarterfinal rounds. Dr. Rafiq Khan acted as the official observer for the tournament, ensuring fair play. In the semifinals, IPS Academy competed with SICA College, while ISBA College faced UTD. The showdown between IPS Academy and ISBA College was a thrilling contest, with ISBA College ultimately claiming victory. ISBA College’s team included players Karthikey Kaushik, Pratham Batham, and Anuj Soni, while IPS Academy’s team comprised Chaitanya Krode, Roshan Joshi, and Ashwadeep Singh. Selected players from the tournament will represent DAVV at the Divisional-Level Table Tennis Championship in Petlawad based on their outstanding performances. During the closing ceremony, Dr. Sudhira Chandel praised the management of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) for their seamless execution and professional approach in organizing the championship, enhancing the event’s stature in the district.
