Indore wins best district in western zone at National Water Awards 2023

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Indore district has been honored with the prestigious title of ‘Best District’ in the Western Zone at the Fifth National Water Awards 2023. The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on Tuesday.

Indore’s District Collector Asheesh Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shivam Verma, and CEO District Panchayat Siddharth Jain accepted the award on behalf of the district. The announcement was originally made on October 15 in New Delhi by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, and the award ceremony followed on October 22.

The National Water Awards, organized by the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD&GR) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, recognized 38 winners across nine categories, including Best State, Best Gram Panchayat, Best Urban Local Body, and Best School or College
