Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Nodal level inter-college lawn tennis men and women’s competition was organized by SGSIT Indore under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal!
In a one-sided final match of men’s category, host SGSIT defeated IAS IPS Academy 2-0 and achieved the honour of being the winner! In the first singles of this final match, host SGSIT Sarthak Bansal defeated Sameer Khan of IPS Academy 6.4-6.3. In the second singles, Aditya Maheshwari of SGSIT defeated Vishal Kumar of IPS Academy 6.4-6.3 and won the title for the team!
Aditya Maheshwari of SGSIT won the award for the best player in the men’s category!
In the final match of the women’s category, IPS Academy defeated the host SGSIT by 3-1. In the first singles of this final match, Avni Pandey of IPS Academy defeated Shreya Pandey of SGSIT by 6.2 ,6.4. In the second singles, Khushi Soni of SGSIT defeated Anishi Garg of IPS Academy by 6.4 A 6.2! In the third and decisive doubles, the pair of Avni Pandey and Mehak Ahirwar of IPS Academy defeated the pair of Khushi Soni and Mansi Gupta of SGSIT by 6.2 A 6.2 and registered an important victory for their team in becoming the winner!
Avni Pandey of IPS Academy won the award for the best player in the women’s category.
The prize distribution was done under the chief hospitality of Professor Satish Raghuvanshi, Sports In-charge Professor of IES IP Academy! Prestige Institute’s Senior Sports Officer Vikram Hansari was present as a special guest!
On this achievement, the Institute’s Director in-charge Professor S.M. Narulkar, Sports In-charge Professor Awadhesh Dalapati, Sports Committee Member Professor M.L. Jain, Lawn Tennis In-charge Professor D.S. Ajnar, Sports Committee Member Arun Kuliha and Deputy Director Physical Education Dr. Manish Jaiswal congratulated the winning team!
