Indore shines bright as global investment hub: NRI Summit 3.0 connects world to India’s heartland

Indore: India’s cleanest city and the commercial capital of Central India, Indore extended a heartfelt welcome to its global diaspora as the much-anticipated NRI Summit 3.0 kicked off on Monday. This two-day celebration brought together over 195 distinguished representatives from 22 countries, uniting Indian-origin business leaders who have made their mark across the globe. The summit seeks to strengthen Indore’s economic and cultural ties with its global family and position the city as a premier international investment destination.
The summit began with an impressive business meet that sparked excitement among industrialists for investing in Indore and its industrial hub, Pithampur. Chief Guest Vimal Todi, a prominent industrialist, lauded Indore’s unique blend of business potential and cultural warmth. “Indore is not just a place to invest—it’s a city that offers profit with purpose and an unparalleled sense of belonging. My own journey here exemplifies this,” he said, inspiring attendees to explore the city’s opportunities.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, emphasized the summit’s role as a bridge between Indore and its global diaspora. “The NRI Forum symbolizes progress, unity, and culture. It’s more than an annual event—it’s a platform that reconnects Indoreans worldwide to their roots while offering them a chance to actively contribute to the city’s growth,” he remarked.
The summit saw participation from a star-studded lineup of NRIs, including Arpit Jain (Netherlands), Saurav Gupta, Anshul Lad (USA), Robin Sunil Pal (Ireland), Ankit Agrawal (Cyprus), Shivam Shukla (Australia), Miten Soni, Ashish Agrawal (Canada), Arpit Bang, Sneha Laddha (New Zealand), Sheetal Jain, Vikrant Rathore (Singapore), Vikas Choudhary, Sonia Billore (Sweden), Anand Sharma (Germany), Rohan Agrawal, Arpit Chouradiya (Japan), Shantanu Mishra, and Vipul Dindulkar (UK), among others.

The first day featured two insightful panel discussions, where NRI participants presented innovative ideas for investment in Indore and shared global best practices. The sessions generated actionable strategies for Indore’s growth, positioning it as a future-ready global city.
This year’s summit also served as a launchpad for budding local entrepreneurs, offering them a unique opportunity to showcase their ventures, connect with international mentors, and attract investments from the global diaspora.
Earlier, the guests were greeted with a traditional Indori welcome, complete with cultural rituals that reflected the city’s rich heritage. Speaking about the event, Swati Kunal Tarte, convener of the NRI Forum, said, “This summit is more than business—it’s a celebration of Indore’s journey of progress and an opportunity to reconnect with our roots.”
The second day, scheduled for Tuesday, promises a perfect blend of sports, culture, and cuisine. A friendly NRI cricket match, paired with Indore’s iconic poha-jalebi breakfast, will kickstart the day. The evening will feature a vibrant cultural extravaganza at Rajwada Square, highlighting the city’s artistic heritage. The summit will conclude with a special Indori prasad dinner at Gopal Mandir, a fitting tribute to the city’s culinary traditions.
Mayor Bhargava said “the NRI Summit 3.0 is not just a celebration of Indore’s global connections but a bold declaration of its ambitions. By seamlessly blending its cultural heritage with modern opportunities, Indore is emerging as a global investment hub and a beacon of progress for the world.”
