BJP expels Indore corporator Jeetu Yadav over indiscipline
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): In a decisive move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expelled Indore Corporator Jeetu Yadav (Jitendra Yadav) from the party on Saturday, citing indiscipline and actions tarnishing the party’s image. The expulsion comes after a heated altercation between Yadav and fellow BJP corporator Kamlesh Kalra, which was made public through a viral phone conversation.
BJP State General Secretary Bhagwan Das Sabnani issued a formal letter confirming Yadav’s expulsion from the primary membership for six years. The letter emphasized that Yadav’s behavior, particularly a damaging phone call with Kalra, was unbecoming of a party member. In the call, Yadav lashed out at Kalra, saying, “Sangathan gaya chulhe mein” (Do hell with the party), after Kalra tried to pacify him, stating, “We both belong to the same party.”
This incident was followed by a resignation letter circulating on social media, in which Yadav allegedly resigned from his position on the Mayor-in-Council (MiC), citing the defamation of the party due to his involvement in an unrelated incident. Yadav claimed he would resign until proven innocent in the matter. However, Indore BJP President Gaurav Randive confirmed that no formal resignation letter had been received.
Sources suggest that the BJP was contemplating further action against Yadav in light of the ongoing controversy, which has also seen Kalra accuse Yadav of sending goons to his house and attacking his family. The party’s swift action highlights its stance on maintaining discipline and protecting its reputation.
