Mavericks team comprising foreign players win Kalani Trophy
20th Maharaja Yashwantrao Holkar National Bridge Competition

Indore : Prosenjit Manna and Bhaskar Sarkar of Kolkata won the title of Holkar Trophy Pair Bridge Competition played under the 20th Maharaja Yashwantrao Holkar National Bridge Competition played at Yashwant Club. Whereas the Mavericks team comprising foreign players won the Kalani Trophy.
After the final round played , Kolkata’s Prosenjit Manna and Bhaskar Sarkar won the Holkar Trophy by scoring 103.30 points. They were awarded a prize money of Rs 1.75 lakh. The second place was taken by the Kolkata pair of Sanjib Bhattacharya and Sanjib Ganguly, who scored 95.30 points. They were awarded a runner-up prize money of Rs 1.20 lakh. The third place was taken by the PS Mukherjee and Sapan Desai pair, who were awarded a prize money of Rs 80 thousand. The fourth place was taken by Soumitra Das and Tanyam Majumdar. They were awarded a cash prize of Rs 45 thousand.
Mavericks team won the Kalani Trophy title. This time foreign players from Israel were also playing in this team. The winning team got prize money of three lakh twenty thousand rupees. Carpe Diem team was in second place. The runner-up got prize money of two lakh rupees. Ruiya Blazers was in third place and Shri Radhe team was in fourth place. They got prize money of one lakh forty thousand and seventy thousand rupees respectively.
SN Jhawar Trophy was won by Team Arun Jain. JS Anand Trophy was won by Swarendu Banerjee and Ajay Khare. Justice RK Vijayvargiya Trophy was won by Atanu Ganguly and Indranath Chatterjee. In Kalani Trophy, the best local team was Indore Siddheshwar’s team while Indore Blues team was in second place.
The prize distribution was done by Saurav Kalani, Padma Kalani, Pal Anand, Sampat Jhanwar, Vinay Vijayvargiya, Kiran Nadar, Monica Jaju. Anil Vijayvargiya, Hemant Purkar, Prakash Acharya welcomed the guests. The function was conducted by Mr. Jitesh Agarwal.
