Ammi brings MP its first gold medal in national competition

Indore (Team Newsbuddy). International cue sports player Ammi Kamini brought the state the title of senior billiards in the 91st National Billiards and Snooker Championship . This was the first gold medal for the state in this national competition. Before this Ammi had won a silver medal. Whereas Ishika Shah got a bronze medal.

Ammi easily defeated Tamil Nadu’s Anupama Ramachandran 3-1 in the final of the women’s billiards competition of this competition organized by Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association under the aegis of Indian Billiards and Snooker Association. Ammi won this match 101-98, 56-101, 101-76, 100-47. Ammi deprived Anupama from winning the second title of this competition. Anupama defeated Ammi in the final of women’s snooker.
Ammi has so far won 21 international medals which include gold, silver and bronze. She has won medals in both Asian Championship and World Championship. In national competition, she has won national title in billiards four times. She has won 6 titles in 15 red snooker national and 5 titles in 6 red snooker national. Ami was awarded by former BSFI secretary and international player Devendra Joshi. On this occasion, general secretary of Indian Billiards and Snooker Association Sunil Bajaj and vice president Ashwini Puranik were present.

In this national men’s championship being held at the city’s prestigious Yashwant Club, in the qualifying round of junior snooker, Vedant K.S. of Tamil Nadu defeated M.P.’s Jai Motwani 3-2, U.P.’s Syed Kabir defeated M.P.’s Aarav Jhanwar 3-0, M.P.’s Ali Hamza defeated M.P. K.’s Kanishk Singh 3-0, M.P.’s Abhijeet Airan defeated Rajasthan’s Rohit Bhadu 3-0, U.P.’s Abdul H defeated Karnataka’s J. Aarav 3-0 to enter the next round.
