Jashn-e-Jagjit celebrated at Abhinav Kala Samaj

Indore (Team Newsbuddy) : Abhinav Kala Samaj, Indore, celebrated the birth anniversary of renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh. Singer Santosh Agnihotri presented Jagjit Singh’s popular ghazals and songs. He was accompanied by novice singer Aditi Tapadia in the duet songs.
The program began with a popular Ram Dhun. This was followed by Santosh Agnihotri’s rendition of Jagjit Singh’s ghazals, including “Apne hothon par sajaana chahata hoon”, “Hosh walon ko khabar kya, bekudi kya cheez hai”, and “Tera chehra hai aaine jaisa”.
Aditi Tapadia then presented Chitra Singh’s ghazal “Kyoon zindagi ki rah mein majboor ho gaye”. This was followed by duet songs, including “Mere dil mein tu hi tu hai”, “Wo kagaz ki kashti wo baarish ka paani”, and “Mere jaise ban jaoge jab ishq tumhein ho jayega”.
Other popular renditions included “Jhuki jhuki si nazar bekarar hai ki nahin”, “Apni marzi se kahan apne safar ke hum hain”, “Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho”, “Tumko dekha to ye khayal aaya”, and “Hazaron khwahishen aisi ki har khwahish pe dam nikle”.
The program concluded with a Punjabi song, “Chhadeya di June buri”.
The musical accompaniment was provided by Amol Karkhanis on the tabla, Vikas Jain on the guitar, Charudutt Agnihotri on the keyboard, and Vivek Thorat on side rhythm.
The program was anchored by Anusha Vyas. The inaugural ceremony was performed by poet Prof. Rajeev Sharma, Abhinav Kala Samaj president Praveen Kharival, Prime Minister Satyakam Shastri, joint Prime Minister Rohit Agnihotri, and Alok Bajpai.
