Bilaspur, Sports Academy Raipur, Kabirdham , Rajnandgaon teams in semi-finals

Asmita Hockey State Level Hockey Competition

Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy): Four matches were played on the third day of the Asmita Hockey state-level hockey competition being organized under the aegis of Sports Authority of India, Hockey India and Chhattisgarh Hockey. Today’s first match was played between Hockey Durg and Hockey Janjgir Champa in which Hockey Janjgir Champa defeated Durg by 3-0 goals. In the 20th minute of the match, Rani scored 1 goal and gave the team a 1-0 lead. In the 32nd and 47th minutes of the match, Rani and Simran Dhiwar scored goals and won the match by 3-0 goals.

Today’s second match was played between Korba and Kanker in which Korba team defeated Kanker by 11-0 goals and achieved an easy victory. From Korba’s side, team captain Rashmi scored 6 goals, Bindu scored 2 goals and Beena, Priya and Jyoti scored 1 goal each. Today’s third match was a very exciting match between Sports Academy Raipur and Hockey Dhamtari. Spectators got to see great performance from both the teams. In this exciting match, the match was tied at 4-4.

In the beginning, Hockey Kabirdham showed its good game and got a penalty corner in the 4th minute of the match which was converted by Rukmani of the team to take the lead by 1-0. In the 9th minute of the match Yashoda scored a goal and brought the score to 2-0, which was equalized by Sports Academy Raipur. In the 20th minute of the match, Neha and in the 28th minute of the match, Namrata scored a goal and brought the score to 2-2. In the 40th minute and 52nd minute of the match, Divyani and Neha scored 1-1 goals and brought the score to 4-2.

The players of Kabirdham displayed their excellent game and in the 53rd minute and 59th minute of the match, Yashoda scored 2 consecutive goals and brought the score to 4-4. Today the fourth and final match was played between Hockey Bilaspur and host Rajnandgaon, in which Hockey Bilaspur defeated the host Defeated Rajnandgaon by 4-3 goals. In this tough match, in the 18th minute of the match, Shital Yadav from Rajnandgaon scored a goal and took the lead by 1-0, while in the 22nd minute of the match, Madhu Sidar scored a goal and equalized the score to 1-1, while from Rajnandgaon’s side, Shital Yadav scored two consecutive goals in the 25th and 40th minutes of the match and took the score to 3-0, which was defeated by Bilaspur team by 4-3 goals by Dolly, Madhu Sindhar and Bhumika in the 43rd minute, 54th minute and 59th minute of the match and entered into the semi-finals.

In today’s match, Kishore Dhiwar, Rajesh Nirmalkar, Abhinav Mishra, Geetanjali Nirmalkar, Hanif Qureshi, Damini Singh, Yogesh Dwivedi, Jayshree Humne, Pooja Yadav, Haroon Khan, Khemraj Sinha, Amitabh Manikpuri played the role of umpires.

Before the match, the guests present went to the middle of the ground and got introduced to the players. In today’s match, Firoz Ansari, President Chhattisgarh Hockey, Aush Thomas, Neelamchand Jain, Bhushan Saw, Ashok Mehra, Jahangir Khan, Rashid Ali (both senior players Durg), Tirath Gauswami, Sachin Khobragade, Shakeel Ahmed, Shabbir Solanki (Sabbu), Khushal Yadav, Amitabh Manikpuri, Abhinav Mishra, Rajesh Nirmalkar, Anish Raza, Krishna Yadav, Rupesh Jaiswal and sports loving public were present. The Asmita Hockey State League Sub Junior Girls category will be played from today in the morning under which the first match will be played between Hockey Bilaspur and Sports Academy Raipur at 8 am. The second match will be played between Hockey Kabirdham and Hockey Janjgir Champa.
