Indore (Team Newsbuddy): In place of the current system of final payment of General Provident Fund of government servants, a new online system of final payment of GPF has been implemented in the state. As per the instructions of Collector Ashish Singh, a training program was organized today for the disbursing officers of all the government offices of the district at E-Daksh Kendra Satellite Bhawan to give information about the said new system

Manish Dubey, Programmer of District Treasury Office, gave detailed information about the online process of final payment of GPF. On this occasion, Senior Treasury Officer Monica Katare, Assistant Treasury Officer Manoj Verma and officers and employees of various government offices were present. In the training, programmer Manish Dubey informed that as per the instructions of the Office of Commissioner of Treasury and Accounts, a new system has been made for the final payment of General Provident Fund on the IFMIS software. This system has been started from today itself. He informed that till now, for the approval of the final payment of GPF and issuance of the authority letter, the case had to be prepared and sent physically to the Accountant General’s Office Gwalior, now there is no need to send a hard copy.

The option of GPF final payment will be enabled in IFMIS as soon as the GPF deduction is stopped four months before retirement. The case will have to be submitted online by uploading the necessary documents like GPF passbook, GPF slip etc. in IFMIS. The case will go online to the Accountant General’s Office. The Accountant General’s Office will check the case online and issue the authority letter, which will start appearing online to the DDO of the concerned office. After which, like other claims, GPF claims can also be paid. With this new system, government servants will be able to receive the final payment of GPF amount soon on retirement.
