How to do gardening for the first time?

When we build our house or move into a new house, after decorating that house we also want to make a beautiful small garden in our house. The garden not only enhances the beauty of the house, but also makes the atmosphere of the house pleasant and the family members also get fresh air, which keeps them healthy.

1) Choosing the right place — Nowadays due to lack of space, most people make a small garden in the balcony itself. Choose such a place for the garden where your plants can get direct sunlight for 5 to 6 hours. Do not keep the plants in such a place where strong winds hit your plants, your small plants will fall due to strong winds. Make your garden in such a place from where you can easily water every plant, you can check every plant. Which plant’s leaves are turning yellow, which plant needs medicine. What I mean to say is that only that garden flourishes which is taken care of properly. Therefore, it is very important to choose the right place while making a garden.

2) Start with small plants– If you are going to garden for the first time, then you should grow small plants because small plants grow easily and do not require much care like basil, mint, perennial flowers, aloe vera, marigold, lettuce, spinach, radish etc. These plants can be easily grown in small pots or grow bags and they increase the beauty of your garden even in less space.

3) Choose light pots to grow plants-– To make a garden in the balcony, light pots should be used or it is appropriate to use light containers. Due to the pots being light, the weight of the pots does not fall much on the balcony. Apart from this, it becomes easy to move light pots from one place to another and you can also easily clean by removing the pots. Water also drains very well in light containers. Light pots are easily available in the market, they look very beautiful and are made of beautiful designs.

4) Use organic manure – All types of plants grown in garden pots should be regularly given organic manure for good growth. If you want, you can also use home made manure. You can prepare manure by mixing cow dung and neem cake together. Neem cake contains carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium which is very beneficial for the plants in your garden.
5) Fix a time to water the plants – The plants in the garden in your balcony get good sunlight and the air is also good, in such a situation the soil of the plants also dries up quickly. That is why it is very important to water the plants at a fixed time. You can use a watering can tool to water the plants in the balcony. This tool comes in 5 to 10 liters. You should touch and check the soil of the plants in the pots of the garden plants in the balcony. If the soil looks dry, the plants should be watered. This will keep your garden green throughout the year.

6) Vertical gardening- If you have a small space or balcony, you can grow your plants vertically using hanging baskets. By doing this, you can enhance the beauty of your garden.

7) Spray fungicide- To protect the plants in the garden or pots from the attack of fungus, spray neem oil on the leaves and soil of the plants once in 15-20 days. By spraying, you can save the plants from insects and the fungus that develops on the plants due to water and keep the plants safe.

8) Do not let water accumulate in pots and plates – Watering the plants in excess fills the plates placed under the pots with water, which damages the roots of the plants. To avoid this, either remove the plates or keep removing the water from the plates from time to time. By doing this, the roots of the plant will not rot and the plant will remain safe and its growth will also be good.
