Chhattisgarh’s PR Department spent more than Rs 332 cr on advertising in 14 months

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Chhattisgarh’s Public Relations Department has spent more than Rs 332 crore on advertising from December 1, 2023 to January 31, 2025. The state government gave this information in the Assembly on Wednesday. In a written reply to an unstarred question of Congress MLA Dwarkadhish Yadav, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, who holds the charge of the Public Relations Department, said that the state’s Public Relations Department has sanctioned Rs 463.21 crore for government schemes, works and other publicity from December 1, 2023 to January 31, 2025, out of which Rs 332.92 crore has been spent.
Yadav asked in the question that how much amount was sanctioned and spent district wise for government schemes, works and other publicity advertisements in Chhattisgarh during this period. In response, the Chief Minister said that advertisements are not issued by the districts but by the Public Relations Department at the state level.
According to the answer, during this period, Rs 97,31,19,295 was sanctioned for print media, Rs 92,23,98,483 for electronic media, Rs 25,56,64,280 for digital and social media, Rs 3,87,55,166 for publications, Rs 2,32,26,50,923 for regional publicity and Rs 11,96,07,261 for tribal sub-plan.
Out of the approved amount, Rs 77,43,07,137 was spent on print media, Rs 65,90,35,797 on electronic media, Rs 19,80,35,847 on digital and social media, Rs 2,92,42,608 on publications, Rs 1,54,90,56,122 on field publicity and Rs 11,96,07,261 under Tribal Sub-Plan.
