PIMR faculty crowned chess champion at divisional-level tournament

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Dr. Avani Trivedi, Assistant Professor at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore, demonstrated exceptional strategic skills and intelligence to clinch the championship title in chess (women’s category, under 50 years) at the Divisional-Level Teachers and Employees Sports Competition 2024-25, organized by the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Trivedi advanced to the finals after defeating competitors from Jhabua College and Mhow College in the semifinals. In a gripping final match, she delivered a stellar performance against her opponent from Holkar Science College, Indore, securing a well-deserved victory. A total of eight institutions from the Indore division participated in the tournament, and Dr. Trivedi represented the Prestige Institute of Management with distinction in the chess category.
Congratulating her on this remarkable achievement, Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman of Prestige Education Foundation, and Col. Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (UG), extended their best wishes for her future competitions. They highlighted that her success reflects Prestige Educational Group’s commitment to fostering excellence not only in academics but also in sports.
Dr. Avani Trivedi will now represent the Indore district at the State-Level Chess Tournament, scheduled to be held in Neemuch from March 6 to 8, 2025.
