Chhattisgarh women hockey team unbeaten, tops pool

Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy). In the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship organized by Hockey India New Delhi in Panchkula (Haryana), the state team defeated all the teams of its pool and secured the first position.
Chhattisgarh Hockey President Firoz Ansari told that before the team participated in the competition, a training camp was organized at the International Hockey Stadium Rajnandgaon in which 25 players from all the districts participated. 18 players who displayed excellent performance in the camp were selected for the Chhattisgarh Hockey Team.
Giving the above information, the team manager Ms. Aush Thomas said that, all the players of Chhattisgarh Hockey Team displayed their good game and topped the pool by defeating the opposing teams of their pool in the national competition. Chhattisgarh Hockey played its first match on 01 March with Hockey Himachal, in which Chhattisgarh defeated Himachal by 5-1 goals, the second match was tied with Chandigarh at 1-1 goals and in the third match, defeating Delhi by 2-1 goals, got 7 points and secured the first position in its pool.
The entire Chhattisgarh Hockey family congratulated the Chhattisgarh Senior Women Hockey Team for this victory and wished them a bright future. The team included Shobita, Anita Khusro, Geetanjali Nirmalkar, Anisha Sahu, Meghna Sahu, Leen Kosare, Janvi Yadav, Anjali, Manteswari Lahare, Sampada Nirmalkar, Sabbi Naz Ansari, Chanchal Verma, Sulochana, Neha Toppo, Neelam Kachhap, Sunita Kumari, Harshita Kaunoje, Bhumika Upadhyay and Balwinder Kaur Mehra as coaches, Asha Thomas as manager.
