Railway administration appeals to passengers, citizens not to cross railway track
Raipur/ Bilaspur ( Team Newsbuddy): The Railway Administration appeals to passengers and the general public to give priority to their safety and avoid the dangerous tendency of crossing the railway track. Crossing the railway track not only puts your life at risk, but it is also a punishable offence, which can result in imprisonment up to six months or a fine of up to ₹ 1000 or both.
Foot over bridges have been built at railway stations to go from one platform to another and road over bridges, road under bridges, subways and designated pedestrian paths for road users. All passengers and citizens are requested to use these safe routes. Crossing the railway track carelessly invites accidents, which can cause serious injuries or even life-threatening.
To prevent the dangerous trend of crossing railway tracks, regular awareness campaigns, loudspeaker announcements and checking campaigns are being conducted by the Railway Protection Force, so that people can be alerted about this serious danger. Apart from this, strict action is also being taken against those who violate railway safety rules.
In the year 2024, 3063 persons were taken action against 1283 unauthorized entries, nuisance and illegal vendors by Railway Protection Force, Raigarh and Raipur. Thus, during this period, action was taken against 28,419 persons in such cases in the entire South East Central Railway.
