PIEMR celebrates National Science Day 2025; Students shine in research & innovation

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Prestige Institute of Engineering and Management Research (PIEMR), in collaboration with NCSTC, DST, the Government of India, and the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), Bhopal, enthusiastically celebrated National Science Day 2025. The event honored the legacy of Nobel Laureate Dr. C.V. Raman, whose groundbreaking discoveries continue to inspire scientific advancements.
With the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for a Developed India,” the event commenced with an engaging live video session where students showcased their innovative projects and scientific insights.
Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande, Senior Director of PIEMR, emphasized the impact of Dr. Raman’s discoveries on modern science and encouraged students to contribute actively to research and development.
The keynote speaker, Aditya S.G. Vyas, CEO of Drishti CPS, provided valuable insights into India’s fast-evolving research ecosystem, advancements in science and technology, improvements in healthcare, and startup opportunities for young innovators.
To foster creativity and scientific temperament among students, PIEMR organized ‘Experimental Video Creation’ and ‘Science Fiction Writing’ competitions. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with Rohit and his team winning the first prize in the video competition. At the same time, Amarjot Singh Bhaga, Niyati Shinde, and Zaid Khan were recognized for their outstanding science fiction writing.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rekha Sharma, who acknowledged the unwavering support and guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande (Advisor), Dr. Hemant Sharma (HOD, ASH Department), Dr. Umashankar Prasad (IC Vice President, PIEMR), Dr. Priyanka Tiwari, and Dr. Rekha Sharma (Event Coordinator, Assistant Professor, ASH Department).
The National Science Day 2025 celebrations at PIEMR provided an inspiring platform for students to explore new frontiers in science, engage with experts, and unleash their creative potential, contributing to India’s vision of global scientific leadership
