Government re-implemented old order to check malpractices in government advertisement and printing
Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): The government has shown strictness to stop the malpractices in government advertisements and printing in Chhattisgarh. Finance Secretary Mukesh Kumar Bansal clarified that now all the departments, corporations and semi-government institutions of the state will have to get their publicity work done through ‘Chhattisgarh Samvad’ only. This decision has been taken to bring transparency in government advertisements and promotional material. This will maintain uniformity and quality in printing work.
The Chhattisgarh government had issued an order in 2001 that all government printing and advertising work should be done by ‘Chhattisgarh Samvad’ only. But for the last 10 years, some printing mafias were breaking the rules through their high contacts.
They were ignoring government orders and taking orders for printing work worth crores from private presses and textbook corporation. Now the government has taken strict measures to stop these irregularities.
The Finance Secretary clarified that if for any reason ‘Chhattisgarh Samvad’ is unable to do any work, then it will have to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Without NOC, no department, corporation or semi-government institution will be able to get advertisements or printing work done from elsewhere.
This step of the Chhattisgarh government will bring transparency in the government advertisements and printing works of the state. This will curb the printing mafia and stop the wastage of government money.
