PIMR hosts workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The Computer Science and Analytics Department of the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Indore, in association with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Government of India, successfully organized an insightful online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patent, and design filing.
The resource person for the workshop, an Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs from RGNIIPM, Nagpur, shared invaluable insights into the significance of IPR, patents, and design filing. He provided a detailed explanation of the procedural aspects involved in patent and design registration. Emphasizing the critical role of protecting intellectual property in today’s innovation-driven economy, he guided participants on legal frameworks and best practices in patent and design filing.
The workshop coordinators, Dr. Alok Bansal and Dr. Shweta Mogre, highlighted that the workshop’s primary objective was to raise awareness about intellectual property rights, explore career opportunities in patents and IPR, and inspire research-based innovations among students and faculty members. The session served as a valuable platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, researchers, and business professionals aiming to safeguard their innovations in a competitive market.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 800 MBA II semester students who attended virtually from Indore and across the country. Key dignitaries present included Group Director Dr. S.S. Bhakar, Director IQAC, Registrar, faculty members, and research associates.
