Underground metro will run from Airport to Regal Square in city

•Seven stations will be built in two tunnels
Indore (Team Newsbuddy) Hindustan Construction Company-Tata Project Ltd. (HCC-TPL) joint venture will build the 8.9 km underground part of the metro from the airport to Regal Tiraha in Indore city. In this part, the company will build two underground tunnels of up and down line and will build seven underground stations.
MP Metro Rail Management has issued a work order to HCC-TPL company in this regard. The company will start work at the ground level in three-four months. The company will have to complete the project in four years. The company will spend Rs 2190.91 crore on this project.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) is giving a loan of Rs 1600 crore in Indore’s underground metro project. In such a situation, the Metro management issued the work order to the company only after ADB issued a financial evaluation of HCC-TPL and issued an NOC. 60 percent of the amount for the underground metro project will be provided by ADB loan. At the same time, 20-20 percent of the amount is being given by the Central and State Government.

The company will do geo-technical and utility survey
After the work order is issued to HCC-TPL company for the construction of underground metro, the company will start work in the next three to four months. First of all, the company will do the work of soil testing along with geo-technical survey.
Before the construction of underground metro, the company will do a survey of ‘Utility Trial Trenching’ to get information about the sewerage, Narmada pipeline, gas line and other services present under the ground on that route.
Machine will be lowered to a depth of 20 meters
For the underground metro project, the company will dig about 800 square meters of land on the warehouse land near the airport and Bada Ganpati and the tunnel boring machine (TBM) for making the underground metro tunnel will be lowered to a depth of 20 meters. After this, the construction work of the underground metro will begin.
