In a significant gesture to honor cultural traditions and strengthen community bonds, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the construction of a Chhath Puja Ghat and the organization of a Grand Chhath Fair in Indore. The announcement, made during the Bihar Day celebration organized by the Greater Bihari Community, was met with widespread applause and appreciation.
Commending the Bihari community for their hard work, intellect, and perseverance, Dr. Yadav remarked:
“Bihar’s people have earned global recognition for their dedication and talent. Their contributions are integral to India’s growth story.”
Dr. Yadav also highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, emphasizing their deep-rooted connection. In response to a long-standing demand by Indore’s Bihari community, Dr. Yadav’s announcement of the Chhath Puja Ghat and Chhath Fair was warmly welcomed. He assured that the dedicated ghat would provide a safe and spiritual space for devotees to celebrate the revered Chhath festival, an integral part of Bihari culture and tradition.
Lauding Bihar’s development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Dr. Yadav said:
“Bihar has witnessed remarkable progress, and I am confident this growth trajectory will continue in the years to come.”
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders, including senior BJP leader and MP Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, MLA Ms. Gayatri Devi, MP Urban Development and Housing Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Mr. Tulsi Ram Silawat, Indore MP Mr. Shankar Lalwani, MLA Ms. Kavita Patidar, and other distinguished dignitaries.
