Urjotsav 2025: PIEMR students to showcase technical brilliance & cultural talent

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The Prestige Institute of Engineering, Management and Research (PIEMR), Indore, is set to host the third phase of its grand annual festival, Urjotsav 2025, on March 26-27. This eagerly anticipated event will feature an impressive lineup of technical competitions designed to foster innovation and creativity among students.
The technical contests will include Hackathon Code Urja 1.0, the Makeathon Rapid Prototyping Competition, a technical quiz, research presentations on emerging trends in engineering and applied sciences, and a challenging circuit design contest. These competitions will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
PIEMR’s Senior Director, Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande, along with Director (Admissions) Prof. Rajeev Raghuvanshi and senior faculty members Keerti Patwardhan, Charu Verma, and Vibha Atre, announced that prominent industry experts will deliver insightful sessions to enrich students’ knowledge. Notable speakers include Dr. Radharam Mishra from BITS Pilani, who will speak on agricultural robotics and computer vision; Govind Parchani, who will discuss water and waste management solutions for large campuses; Amandeep Srivastava from IIT Indore, who will address funding opportunities for innovations; and Anupam Bhattacharya from Tata Technologies, who will share his knowledge on skills and technological innovations for the future.
The festival’s grand finale, scheduled for March 28-29, will showcase vibrant cultural performances highlighting the artistic talents of PIEMR students. Highlights will include inter-college solo singing, group dance, dance drama, band performances, and the highly anticipated Mega Dance Event. During the closing ceremony, students who excel in academics and sports will be honored for their achievements.
Urjotsav 2025 began with a lively Dangler Launch on March 5, followed by an energetic Inter-House Sports Fest held from March 7-12. To further enhance students’ technical skills, a series of expert-led workshops will introduce participants to the practical aspects of emerging technologies.
In a significant development, PIEMR has recently been granted Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the affiliation of RGPV. This milestone will enable PIEMR to introduce innovative academic programs, refine its curriculum, and provide students with enhanced learning opportunities.
