Indore(Team Newsbuddy): In a bid to foster a culture of reading and enhance students’ literary and analytical skills, the Library Department of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), UG Campus, organized a unique ‘Exhibition-cum-Book Review Competition’ for students of the Liberal Arts and Science Department.
The competition aimed to ignite students’ interest in reading while honing their critical thinking, creative writing, and evaluative skills. Participants showcased their talents by presenting insightful reviews of various literary works, blending creativity with deep analysis and thoughtful interpretation.
In a closely contested event, Tarusha Jain claimed the first prize, while Rudraksha Kushwaha and Niyati Srivastava shared the second prize for their exceptional reviews and thought-provoking perspectives.
Librarian Varsha Dani and Faculty Coordinator—Library, Dr. Manisha Singhai, skillfully coordinated the competition. They emphasized that the initiative was designed to instill a love for reading among students while enhancing their ability to evaluate ideas critically and express their thoughts clearly.
On this occasion, PIMR Director Col. Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Dean (Academics) Dr. Nitin Tanted, and faculty member Dr. Vanshika R. Gangwani graced the event, encouraging students to engage actively in literary and intellectual pursuits.
The event’s successful organization was credited to the dedicated efforts of students Akshat Jha, Mohammad Saif, and Sujal N. Sukundari, whose coordination ensured its smooth execution.
This initiative reflects PIMR’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills to analyze, articulate, and innovate — essential traits for future leaders and changemakers, said Dr Iyer.
