Law, dreams & inspiration: Bennett University shines at Prestige Law Moot Court

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The three-day Dr. N.N. Jain National Moot Court Competition concluded on Friday at the Department of Law, Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), in a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere. Supreme Court Judge Justice G.K. Maheshwari, addressing the closing ceremony, motivated students, stating, “Reading, writing, discussion, thinking, and persistent effort should be the core mantra of a law student. Dream big and dedicate every breath to achieving those dreams.” Sharing his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a Supreme Court judge, he instilled enthusiasm among the students.
Justice Maheshwari outlined the qualities of a good lawyer, saying, “Do not be arrogant in honor, nor angry in insult, and avoid harsh words. Before becoming a good judge, lawyer, or teacher, focus on being a good human being.” Former High Court Judge Justice Shantanu Kemkar congratulated the winners and emphasized the importance of relentless effort. Dr. Bhavna Shah, Vice President of the Indian Vegetable Oil Producer Association, highlighted the significance of communication skills, while senior Madhya Pradesh High Court advocate Ajay Bagadia described language and presentation as the hallmarks of a lawyer.
Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman of Prestige Education Foundation, praised the contemporary theme of the moot court, particularly its focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), stating, “There’s no need to fear AI; we must leverage its benefits.” Supreme Court advocate Aditya Sanghi also addressed the students.
Dr. Nishant Joshi, Director of the Department of Law, announced that Bennett University, Noida, emerged as the winner, while KIT College, Bhubaneswar, secured the runner-up position. Students from Jagran University, Bhopal, bagged the Best Speaker and Best Researcher awards, and Bennett University also clinched the Best Memorial award.
The event not only promoted legal education but also proved to be an unforgettable experience, filling students with inspiration and confidence.
