Emphasis on to recognize our strengths and improve the environment – Kakodkar

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Padma Bhushan Dr Anil Kakodkar, Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission of India has said that we cannot make India developed by copying others. To transform the country into a developed India, we have to recognize our strengths and improve the environment.

He was addressing the topic of ‘Developed India of my dreams’ in the 64th summer lecture series of Abhyas Mandal at Jal Sabhaghar here today. He said that India has an ancient history and a rich culture. Many cultures have come and gone but our culture has remained intact. As we move forward, our dreams also keep changing. To build a developed India, it is necessary that India is strong, capable and developed as a society and a country. We are feeling the example of India being strong at this time. We have made a lot of progress. Our goal is that we should be counted as the advanced country of the world. Our journey to reach this place is still left.

He said that the standard of living of the people of our country should be equal to the standard of living of the people of the developed countries of the world. Today, the richest people of the world live in our country but our country is a poor country. The standard of living of the common man in our country is not equal to the standard of living of a person living in America. The economy of our country is growing rapidly. Our production level is also good in the industrial sector and the agricultural sector. Amidst all these good things, inequality is also increasing in our society. In such a situation, it has become necessary to reconsider the concept of economic development.

He said that one percent of the citizens of the country’s population have a share of 22% in the country’s income. 0.1% of the country’s population has a share of 10% in this income. There is a huge difference in the income of cities and villages in our country. According to the data of the census of the year 2011, the income in villages is half as compared to the city. It is a fact that most of the population in our country lives in villages. This situation can become a major cause of social instability. The migration of a large number of citizens from villages to cities is a matter of concern. It will take time for social change to come in our country. Development of technology is necessary because it enables us. It increases the ability of humans to nurture. We have to develop human values. We have to think about our surroundings along with ourselves. We have to understand the difference between human values and animal values. Good education is necessary for the development of society. This education is not school and college education but the education received from home and the surrounding environment. At the beginning of the program, the guest was welcomed by NK Upadhyay, Murali Khandelwal, Gajendra Singh Dhakad, Shreya Barpute, Meghna Raj and Aditya Singh Singer. The program was conducted by Swapnil Vyas. Nandlal Mogra and Ashok Jaiswal gave a memento to the guest. In the end, Indore Press Club President Arvind Tiwari expressed his gratitude. Rajesh Jaiswal, Ramesh Gupta, Dilip Vaghela, Girdhar Mundhra, Suresh Nahata etc. were present
