Indore : State commercial capital (Indore), despite Sunday being weekly holiday,saw nearly 14,692 candidates appeared in Union Public Service Commission (2025) prelims examination at 36 centers across the city. Earlier, Union Public Service Commission New Delhi held a meeting on Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination-2025 under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office . The examination of the year-2025 were held on Sunday, May 25, More than 9.48 lakh candidates have applied for this. It is being held at 2368 venues in 80 centers in the country. In the meeting, Divisional Commissioner Singh directed the officials that one of the top level examinations in the country is the Civil Service (Preliminary) examination of the Union Public Service Commission. Special attention must be paid to all kinds of arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of this examination. Candidates should not have any trouble.

Additional Commissioner of Police Amit Singh, Deputy Commissioner Revenue Shaili Kanash, Deputy Secretary, Union Public Service Commission Nai Delhi Neeraj Kumar, IDA CEO R.P. Ahirwar and concerned officials were present.
In the meeting, Singh directed the officials of the Electricity Department to continue the power supply at all the scheduled examination centers from 7 am to 7 pm. Alternative electricity should also be provided at the examination centres. Drinking water should be provided at each examination centre, road cleaning and toilets in the premises should be cleaned.
The entire responsibility of conducting the examination from the Indore center has been entrusted to the Divisional Commissioner Indore as the Examination Coordinating Officer. The Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi has appointed Deputy Secretary of the Commission Neeraj Kumar as the Inspection Officer to inspect the smooth conduct of the examination. Besides, Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Shri Abhilash Mishra and IDA Chief Executive Officer Shri RP. Ahirwar has been appointed as an observer. The Divisional Commissioner has also appointed local inspection officers to make complete arrangements of the examination centres.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Revenue Shaili Kanash informed that the Civil Service (Preliminary) examination under Indore Division would be conducted at total 36 examination centers of Indore Center No. thousand 692 candidates will take the examination at 36 examination centers of Indore centre. The examination will be held in two sessions. The first session will be from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and the second session will be from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
It was informed in the meeting that the Union Public Service Commission will close the entry of candidates 30 minutes before the start of the examination session. No candidate will be allowed admission after this. Entry will be allowed at the entry point on the basis of the e-admission slip downloaded from the Commission’s website. Only pens, pencils, e-admit cards, self-photos, identity cards or any other items specified in the e-admit cards will be allowed inside the examination venue. Calculators will not be allowed. Mobile phones, IT gadgets, digital watches, smart watches, blue tooth, any other communication devices, bags etc. will be prohibited inside the examination centre.

No arrangement will be made by the Center President at the examination venue to keep any items brought by the candidates at the examination venue as per the directions of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi. Candidates will have to make their own arrangements outside the entrance. The Commission shall not be liable for any loss. Candidates are advised to carry the ID mentioned in the e-admission paper. If any candidate is unable to produce identity document or produces any other identity document other than the identity document mentioned in the e-admission form, the Center President shall inform the candidate of his/her intention to obtain this letter.
