Indore(Team Newsbuddy): A significant step toward enhancing urban connectivity was taken today as Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and Rau MLA Madhu Verma jointly performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a new 2.40-kilometer link road connecting Hotel Pride to City Forest in the Rau Assembly constituency. Funded by a ₹29.52 crore allocation under Special Central Assistance, the project promises to transform transportation in the region. The event was graced by MIC member Rajendra Rathore, corporator Seema Solanki, BJP Mandal President Purushottam Jaiswal, Mayor’s representative Anshuman Singh Chauhan, ward convener Mahendra Shukla, municipal officials, and local residents.
Integrated into the Indore Development Plan 2021, this state-of-the-art road will span 30 meters in width and incorporate advanced features such as a six-lane layout with semi-digital sensoring, a central median, modern street lighting, stormwater drainage, and relocated electric lines. These elements ensure a smart, sustainable, and efficient infrastructure.
In his address, Mayor Bhargav highlighted the project’s potential to revolutionize connectivity, particularly for residential colonies under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and surrounding areas. “This road will ease traffic congestion and provide residents with safer, faster, and smarter commuting options,” he stated.
